Personal Interests

Dr. Grunert likes exploring off the beaten path, whether hiking or skiing in Telluride or exploring the Sonoma coast with his wife Trudye, looking for that small boutique winery and hidden restaurant gem.

Raised in San Antonio, Dr. Grunert came to Houston and graduated from Rice University. He stayed in Houston to attend medical school and earned his MD at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Naval Regional Medical Center, Oakland, and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of California San Francisco. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG), a fellow of the American College of Surgeons FACS), and a founding member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).
